Restaurant POS Split & merge bills

Split it, merge it, settle it without fuss

Groups often want separate bills, and big families join tables. The POS handles both in a few taps, with every part paid and recorded correctly.

Splitting a sample table bill by item

Overview

Flexible bills, correct records

A table's order can be split by moving items to separate bills, by guest, or into equal parts. Each part prints and is paid on its own, by cash or card, and the table closes only when every part is settled.

Merging works the other way: when a group spreads over two or three tables, their orders are combined into one bill. The kitchen history of each table is kept, so reports still show exactly what was ordered and where.

Key points

  • Split by item, by guest or equally
  • Each part paid by its own method
  • Merge two or more tables into one bill
  • Original order and KOTs stay linked
  • Table closes only when everything is paid

Notes from our setup team

Practical advice from setting up restaurants like yours.

Ask before printing

Ask large groups if they want separate bills before printing the first one.

It is the fastest option when everyone shares dishes.

Merge before billing

Merge tables early so the kitchen and bill show one group.

Limit reprints

Bill reprints can need approval so old bills are not reused.
